Description |
Rolex premiered The Sea-Dweller in 1967. It was made for professional divers, and hence it had a sturdy pressure-resistant case and a helium valve developed by Rolex. Rolex released a new Sea-Dweller in 2017 to celebrate the Sea-Dweller’s 50th anniversary.
The Sea-Dweller is an excellent diver’s watches engineered by Rolex for deep-sea exploration. The Sea-Dweller is waterproof to a depth of 4,000 feet or 1,220 meters. Hence, this watch is an ultimate manifestation of Rolex’s leadership in divers’ watches and the result of decades of collaboration with diving professionals. In 2014 Rolex released a particular version of the Sea-Dweller, Rolex Deep-sea with a Deep blue dial, to commemorate James Cameron’s historic solo dive to the bottom of the Mariana Trench that sits at a staggering 11,000 meters under the Pacific Ocean. From bottomless black to twilight blue, its two-color gradient dial celebrates the man’s journey to the deepest place on Earth. |
